Saturday's book event was a lot of fun! In and amidst chatting with people, Chapters Book store graciously gave away two free copies of our bio during an in-store draw. It is particularly interesting to observe that some women my age truly appreciate a little encouragement to select a biography about an adult film legend, as it is understandably a unique category for many readers. When I explain John's roots as a country boy from Ohio, and that despite many of his struggles, he had loved the outdoors, I immediately sense that something ignites within - the realization that we all share common ground. Deep inside we are all "regular folks".
For those of us who have experienced a good portion of life already, I sincerely believe that the next part of our journey is about giving ourselves permission to expand horizons, take the scenic route and embrace our mid-life awakening. It's all good.
